The Website Design Process

STEP 1. Information Gathering

I carefully gather information on your project elements, and then send you an estimate/proposal by email.

STEP 2. Contract Signing

Next we sign a contract. A retainer fee is required at this point to begin work on your project.

STEP 3. Design Phase

I will provide you with an in-depth design questionnaire to help you determine your project needs. We create two design mock-ups based on your answers in the questionnaire. You choose one to move forward with, and are supplied with two sets of revisions to refine the look of your site. Your satisfaction with the look of your website is of the utmost importance to us. We aren’t happy until you are. (Seriously.)

STEP 4. Website Build Phase

After you approve the design, I can proceed with building your web pages.

STEP 5. Testing

Testing your new website ensures all functions are working properly across multiple popular platforms, mobile phones, etc .

STEP 6. Launch!

An invoice will be sent to you for the balance owed on the website. When final payment is received, your website will be published to the web!

I can’t say enough good things about Squarespace. Really. As a designer, I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to pre-made website design templates, but Square has the most beautiful templates on the web. The back end, where you build the pages and make edits/updates, is so easy and intuitive to use. Many features are “drag and drop,” which my clients really appreciate.

With Squarespace, so much is done for you. With a very reasonably priced subscription, you have access to their user-friendly platform, website hosting, elegant well-designed templates, built-in security and much more.
