Website Design FAQ

Half the balance is required as a retainer fee to begin your project. The ending balance should be paid just before your website goes live. I  strive to make websites affordable to Marin’s small businesses, and even offer a payment plan, if needed.

It usually takes about me 3 to 4 weeks to design and develop a new website, but can take longer depending on the complexity of your project. Squarespace builds usually come together faster than WordPress sites.

I usually recommend that you send everything in electronic format via email, Dropbox, or Google Drive. I can help you convert your paper documents into electronic formats, if needed. All text should be submitted in MS Word format, or PDF.  Images should be in .gif, .jpg, .png, etc.

I will not begin the build phase of your website project until you have signed off on the design. Initially, I provide two designs to choose from. After that, you’ll have two rounds of edits to your chosen design.

Please know that virtually none of my clients over the past ten years have needed additional edits beyond the initial two. Also know that your complete satisfaction in the look of your website is of the utmost importance to me.

I can maintain it for you, or tutor you in how to maintain it yourself. Both WordPress and Squarespace websites are easy to work with.
